Attorney Headshot

OMMAR CHAVEZ

Associate

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the California State University Long Beach, in Long Beach, California, and my Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California.

While in Law School, I worked at various immigration firms in San Diego County and served as a Law Clerk for the Executive Office of Immigration Review in San Diego. I also studied abroad during law school in the Mediterranean country of Malta. In Malta, I attended a course on the International Criminal Court and a course taught by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg reviewing the 2017 U.S. Supreme Court term and discussing the inner workings of the nation’s Highest Court.

Prior to Joining Wheeler Law, I was a Trial Attorney at a plaintiffs’ civil litigation firm where I represented individuals in consumer protection cases, class actions, and civil appeals.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching NBA basketball, trying new foods and restaurants, and rooting for the San Diego Padres.
